Britney M. Wardecker, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, College of Nursing
Dr. Wardecker is trained as a health psychologist and her interests are in the areas of sexual and gender minority (SGM) health and aging. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and subsequently began training in the Center for Healthy Aging at Penn State as a T32 postdoctoral fellow. As an Assistant Professor in Penn State’s College of Nursing, she is developing a theoretically-driven research program that uses psychological science to promote wellness and reduce social and health disparities among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people.
