Penn State faculty, staff, and students worked together with community organizations to execute a 2-day Resource Fair at Mt. Nittany Residences, an affordable housing complex for older adults in State College, PA.   Dr. Alyssa Gamaldo (Assistant Professor, HDFS), Dr. Amy Lorek (Assistant Research Professor, Center for Healthy Aging), and Shyuan Tan (graduate student, HDFS) co-organized this event with the assistance of Dr. Angie Sardina (Assistant Professor, University of North Carolina Wilmington) to address the service and information requests of this older adult community.  Approximately, 15 service providers across Penn State University (e.g., College of Nursing, College of Health and Human Development, Penn State Law, and Master Gardeners) and community organizations (e.g., Centre County Office of Aging, Giant Foods, and Alzheimer’s Association) as well as more than 40 Penn State student and staff volunteers participated in this event.  The fair was sponsored by the Center for Healthy Aging and College of Health and Human Development.  The fair also received ancillary donations from Giant Foods, Honey Baked Ham Co., PSU Performing Arts, Walmart, Wegmans, and Weis.
