The Center for Healthy Aging, the College of Nursing, and the Geroscience & Dementia Prevention Consortium are sponsoring an Aging Research and Training Colloquium on Thursday, February 29th at the Bennett Pierce Living Center.

The colloquium is designed to highlight research related to aging at Penn State. Attendance is highly encouraged for scholars who are already doing work related to healthy aging and dementia prevention, and particulary for faculty who are planning new projects, interestd in being part of new collaborative initiatives, and who may be interested in a pending RFA from the Geroscience and Dementia Prevention Consortium to support interdisciplany aging research at Penn State,

As part of this event, we will be joined by the CEO of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), Dr. James Appleby, and there will be presentations by key units across Penn State to provide a high-level overview of their related work, initiatives, and opportunities for collaboration. In addition, we are featuring trainees who will be presenting their aging-related research during the lunch portion of the event.

Our hope is that the presentation and discussion at this event will spur and enable new innovations in aging research.
