While at Penn State, I am working with Matt Kaplan (Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education) and other colleagues affiliated with the “Penn State Intergenerational Program” (which is rooted in Penn State Extension) on a variety of intergenerational research and outreach education projects. To be more specific, my current research is mainly focused around intergenerational issues such as intergenerational programming planning and evaluation, intergenerational education and learning, training and professionalization of intergenerational practitioners, management of multigenerational workplaces, and the practice of teaching in multigenerational higher education classrooms.
As founder member of the European research group GENERATIONES (International Network for the Study of Intergenerational Issues), I am deeply interested on theoretical frameworks linked to the study of generations, intergenerational relationships, and generational policy.
With colleagues from the UK, Sweden, Slovenia, and Bulgaria, and supported by the European Commission, I will be involved till September 2014 in the development of a new European (online) Certificate in Intergenerational Learning.
